Learning outcomes are formulated based on the needs of Microbiology graduates. During the formulation process, benchmarking is performed with international standards such as ASM, and curriculums from microbiology courses of several overseas universities. In addition, throughout the formulation of the learning outcomes, inputs from stakeholders are also taken into consideration. These inputs are provided through questioners filled by alumni that are competent in the field of microbiology, and stakeholders that employ Microbiology graduates. Learning outcomes are formulated corresponding to the observation of the curriculum which is done every five years, as stated in the curriculum document. The socialization of new curriculum and learning outcomes are structurally performed to students, lecturers and other stakeholders. In addition, information regarding the curriculum and learning outcomes are also displayed on the official ITB and SITH website. Based on the new curriculum, the curriculum of 2013-2018, the specific learning outcomes of the study program can be grouped into four (4) categories. These learning outcomes are in accordance with requirement of job market and also refer to international microbiology association (American Society for Microbiology – ASM).
